Tropical Chicken Cranberry Dip
Creamy, sweet, and packed with protein — the appetiser that doubles as a meal.

Do you remember those dips that showed up at every family party when you were a kid?
The ones your aunt or your mom made. The ones nobody had a recipe for because they just knew. The bowl that was always empty before the main course even hit the table.
This is my version of that dip.
I grew up watching this disappear at family gatherings. Sweet. Creamy. Chunky with nuts and cranberries. The kind of thing you eat on a cracker and then go back for three more before anyone notices.
This long weekend I served a modern version — cottage cheese for protein, the Tropical Chicken Salad Mix for flavour — and it was a flippen hit. Gone. Every last scoop. Some things just get better with time. 💚
Why this dip works harder than it looks
7g of protein per serving. From a dip. That's not normal.
Most party dips are just fat, salt, and regret. This one has shredded chicken and cottage cheese built right into the base — so every scoop is actually feeding your body while you're enjoying yourself.
For women in perimenopause and beyond, showing up at a party and knowing there's a high-protein option on the table takes the stress out of social eating. You're not standing there nibbling on celery while everyone else eats. You're eating the best dip on the table — and it's working for you.
Budget-friendly too. Leftover chicken, a block of cream cheese, a scoop of cottage cheese, and the seasoning blend. That's it. Party food for the cost of a coffee.
Real Talk — from my childhood table to yours
Every family has that one recipe. The one that shows up at every gathering. The one nobody questions. It's just always there — and it's always the first thing gone.
For my family it was a chicken dip. Creamy, sweet, a little crunchy. My mom made it. My aunt made it. It was at every holiday, every birthday, every long weekend.
When I discovered the Tropical Chicken Salad Mix I knew exactly what I was doing with it. I took that childhood memory and gave it a NourishHER upgrade — cottage cheese for protein, real chicken, and a blend that does what used to take four or five separate ingredients.
First time I served it my husband said "this tastes like your mom's." That's the highest compliment in my kitchen.
Now it's at every gathering I host. And just like the original — it's always the first thing gone. Some things are just meant to carry forward. 😄
What you need
Serves 8–10 · Prep: 10 min
1 cup cooked chicken, shredded (white or dark meat — use what you have)
1 pkg cream cheese, room temperature
½ cup whipped cottage cheese or plain Greek yogurt
¼ cup crushed pineapple
2 tbsp Tropical Chicken Salad Mix ← Youngevity
½ cup walnuts (optional)
½ cup dried cranberries (optional)
Make it
Mix — Combine chicken, cream cheese, cottage cheese or yogurt, crushed pineapple, and Tropical Chicken Salad Mix in a bowl. Stir until well blended.
Transfer — Pour mixture into a serving bowl.
Top — Garnish with walnuts and dried cranberries.
Serve — Pair with sliced baguette, crackers, celery sticks, or your homemade Everyday Nourish Seed Crackers.
💡 Pro tip: Use leftover rotisserie chicken — it shreds perfectly and saves you a step. Or use the seasoned chicken from your weekly big batch cook.

Kitchen Wisdom 💡
Room temperature cream cheese is everything. Cold cream cheese won't blend smoothly. Pull it out 30 minutes before you start — or microwave for 15 seconds if you're in a rush.
Use your leftover chicken. Rotisserie chicken, last night's grilled chicken, or your weekly big batch — any cooked chicken works. Don't cook chicken just for this dip. Use what's already in your fridge.
Make it the night before. The flavours meld and deepen overnight. It tastes even better the next day — which is perfect for party prep. One less thing to do the day of.
FAQ
Can I make this without chicken for a vegetarian option?
You could skip the chicken and double the cream cheese and cottage cheese for a creamier, denser dip. It won't have the same protein count but the tropical flavour still comes through.
How long does it keep?
Up to 3 days in the fridge sealed tight. It honestly tastes better on day two.
