Jalapeno Ranch Dill Pickle Dip
Dilly, creamy, with a little kick. Five minutes and one bowl — zero fluff.

Two of my all-time favourite flavours just got together and the result is ridiculous.
Dill pickle. Jalapeño ranch. In one dip. Five ingredients. Five minutes. And the kind of flavour that makes people hover around the bowl until it's gone and then ask "is there more?"
There's never more. Make double. I'm telling you now.
Why this dip pulls its weight
This isn't just a party trick. The whipped cottage cheese version sneaks in 4g of protein per serving — which means every scoop with veggies is actually doing something for your body.
For women in perimenopause and beyond, smart snacking means choosing dips that deliver more than just fat and salt. Cottage cheese adds protein. The pickle juice adds electrolytes. The vegetables you're dipping deliver fibre and vitamins. One bowl on the counter and you're snacking smarter without even trying.
Budget-friendly too. One block of cream cheese or tub of cottage cheese, a jar of pickles, and the seasoning blend — that's it. For the cost of one store-bought dip you can make this three or four times.
Real Talk — why this is at every gathering I host
I am a dill pickle person. Always have been. And jalapeño? Even better. So when the Sunset Gourmet Jalapeño Ranch Dill Pickle Seasoning Blend landed in my hands I knew exactly what I was doing with it.
First batch. One bowl. Gone in 20 minutes.
Second batch. Doubled it. Still gone.
This dip has been to backyard parties, family dinners, holiday platters, and casual Friday nights on the couch. It has never once come home with leftovers. Not once.
My husband now opens the fridge looking for it like it's supposed to just live there permanently. Some weeks it does. 😄
Pair it with my Everyday Nourish Seed Crackers and fresh veggies and you've got a snack spread that looks like you fussed for hours. You didn't. Five minutes. One bowl. That's it.
What you need
Makes ¾ cup · Prep: 5 min
1 medium dill pickle, chopped
2 tbsp dill pickle juice
½ cup mayo
½ cup whipped cottage cheese or sour cream
1–2 tbsp SG Jalapeño Ranch Dill Pickle Seasoning Blend ← Sunset Gourmet
Make it
Mix — Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until smooth.
Taste — Adjust the seasoning blend to your heat preference. Start with 1 tbsp and work up.
Serve — Use as a veggie dip, fresh slaw dressing, or flavourful topping on wraps, burgers, or bowls.
💡 Pro tip: Make it the night before. The flavour deepens overnight and the dill pickle and jalapeño really come alive after a few hours in the fridge.

Kitchen Wisdom 💡
Start with 1 tbsp of seasoning. You can always add more heat. You can't take it back. Taste as you go — your perfect level is somewhere between "oh that's nice" and "oh wow."
Cottage cheese for protein. Sour cream for richness. Both work. Mix them 50/50 if you can't decide. The cottage cheese version is lighter with more protein. The sour cream version is richer and tangier.
This is more than a dip. Thin it out with extra pickle juice and it becomes a salad dressing. Spread it on a wrap. Dollop it on a burger. Drizzle it over a grain bowl. One recipe — five different uses.
FAQ
How long does it keep?
Up to 3 days in the fridge sealed tight. It honestly gets better each day as the flavours develop.
Can I make it spicier?
Add more of the Jalapeño Ranch Dill Pickle Seasoning or throw in a few extra chopped jalapeño slices. If you want serious heat, a dash of hot sauce on top when serving does the trick.
