What If Your Body Isn't Broken?

As I step into my 61st year, I've been doing a lot of reflecting.

Not the surface kind.

The kind that makes you stop and look honestly at the road you've travelled.

By most accounts, I'm about two-thirds of the way through my life.

Which means I still have one-third ahead of me.

And I've decided I want to live this final third differently.

Part of that decision came from finally understanding something I wish I'd learned years ago.

My body wasn't broken.

But for a long time, I thought it was.

It started with whispers.

A little less energy.

A little more discomfort.

A feeling that something wasn't quite right.

Nothing dramatic.

Nothing that stopped me from living my life.

So I ignored it.

Like many women do.

I was busy.

I had people depending on me.

There was work to do.

Life to live.

So I pushed through.

The whispers got louder.

Then louder still.

Eventually, my body grabbed a megaphone.

Night sweats.

Migraines.

Pain.

Exhaustion.

A version of myself I barely recognized.

And still, the dots didn't connect.

I tried all the things.

Read the articles.

Followed the advice.

Started over more times than I can count.

Yet somehow I still felt like I was missing the real answer.

Then about 18 months ago, someone helped me look at my health differently.

Instead of focusing on one symptom at a time, they helped me start connecting the dots.

Slowly.

One piece at a time.

Not chasing symptoms.

Understanding patterns.

Not asking,

"What's wrong with me?"

But asking,

"What might my body need?"

That shift changed everything.

Because when you start listening differently, you begin hearing things differently.

My body wasn't fighting me.

It was trying to guide me.

It had been communicating all along.

I just didn't know how to understand the language.

Today, I'm still learning.

Still connecting dots.

Still discovering things I wish I'd known years ago.

And that's exactly why I created DeCode Your Body.

Because I know what it's like to feel confused.

To feel frustrated.

To wonder why nothing seems to be working.

Sometimes what we're missing isn't another solution.

Sometimes we're missing the story our body has been trying to tell us.

And maybe that's where curiosity begins.
